Berries is a Virginia Beach-based band that presents an eclectic sound that refuses to be pigeonholed. Striving to present something new and different with every release. Their psychedelic sounds drift between rock, pop, folk and electronic landscapes. Founded and steered by Chris Ledbury.
Members include Daniel Gardner on lead guitar and Jacob Gardner on drums, Johnny Ledbury on bass and Tyler Connor on keys, samples and percussion.
Their debut album, 'Sea Dance' (2014) took a deep dive into the underwater world of Berries' evolving soundscapes. Rising out of the ocean and back on land, the sophomore album ‘Soliloquy Road’ was released in 2020. Songs evoking the spirit of a late night, summer drive. Lost in the flowers, birdsongs and warm sun of spring, their EP ‘Outgrowth’ bloomed in 2021.
Their latest double album ‘To Autumn (Sun/Moon)’, was released in October 2023. "To Autumn" is a double LP that captures the duality of the autumn season. Its two distinct sides — "To Autumn (Sun)" and "To Autumn (Moon)" — paint a panoramic picture of this time of year, immersing listeners in the vibrant colors, emotions, and mysteries that come with the changing leaves.
As a band that keeps evolving, Berries promises that their music will always be a delightful surprise, with each release offering a unique flavor.
